High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) Control is a stable liquid product intended to simulate human patient samples for the purpose of monitoring the precision of laboratory testing procedures for High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein.
There are two different tests for CRP. The standard test measures a much wider range of concentrations but is less sensitive in the lower ranges. The hs-CRP test can more accurately detect lower concentrations (it is more sensitive). This makes it more useful than the standard CRP test in predicting a healthy person’s risk for cardiovascular disease.
